A Little Piece of Ground

Palestinian author and storyteller Sonia Nimr came to London with CADFA in June 2006 and we hope that she will come again. She told stories in schools and also showed two of her books - "Ghaddar the Ghoul" (stories) and "A Little Piece of Ground," which she worked with together with Elizabeth Laird. There was a great meeting at the Institute of Education with Elizabeth and Sonia and Michael Rosen and heads of English and school librarians who agreed that it was an important, useful book.

Some of the schools that Sonia visited prepared teaching materials based on "A Little Piece of Ground." Please do read the book and use the materials with your classes.
