Student Links

Good links are developing between students from some Camden colleges and students at the Al Quds University in Abu Dis. In March 2008, a student from Abu Dis visited Camden colleges as part of a student contingent on the women's visit. Further student visits in both directions are being discussed.

SOAS students' union launched their twinning link with Al Quds student union in November 2007. The initial letters they swapped are below. SOAS students have sent a banner to Al Quds University and are working with the student union on developing next steps including adopting a student prisoner as part of CADFA prisoner campaign.

UCL students' union launched a twinning link with Al Quds student union in March 2008. An article shows that there was some controversy. However the Jewish Chronicle was certainly wrong on the last point - there was definitely contact between the Al Quds Student Union and the UCL Student Union, mediated by CADFA Student Links.

CADFA are hoping to organise a youth conference in Abu Dis in July 2008.

Would you like to join a student visit to Abu Dis or volunteer to help with the summer camp there?
