Stories from our Mothers Film
This film, dir. Ausra Linkeviciute, is a beautiful description of a visit of British women of Palestine and of Palestinian women from Britain. It will be shown in Palestine on 18th September and in Camden on 25th September at the launch of the book, and then in a series of showings around the West Bank and Britain – contact us for details, or if you would like to arrange a showing.
The film will be available soon from Camden Abu Dis on DVD.
Stories from our Mothers Book
The project book of stories of women’s experience, eds. Nandita Dowson and Abdul Wahab Sabbah, focuses on the stories of Palestinian women told and gathered during the two visits. British women have made contributions too – stories, comments, reports and photographs – and the book concludes with some of the lessons drawn by the women together and ideas for future activities.
The book will be launched in September 2010 in Britain and Palestine and there will be a series of launches around the two countries during the autumn. The book will be available from Camden Abu Dis and Dar Assadaqa and also from Amazon and bookshops (ISBN 978-0-9556136-3-0 ).
