Abu Dis Martyrs
In Arabic, the people of Abu Dis call people killed by the Israeli military “shehadeh” (“martyrs”). At the request of people in Abu Dis, this is a place to remember them.
Also at the request of people in Abu Dis, we have made 27th January "CADFA Human Rights Day," as this is a day that they remember two people killed on the same day - 27th January 1990. One was a boy, Abdullah Nabeel Bader, shot by an Israeli sniper, and the second was his uncle, Mohammed Dawood Bader shot when carrying the boy in his funeral.
Please note this list, put here in December 2006, is not a complete list.
These young people are pictured on the attached file.

He used to manage to come occasionally to Abu Dis, crossing the borders illegally at night, to visit his family, but he was killed in 1969 by Israeli planes in Jordan. This is the only photograph his family have of him.
