Past health links projects
Camden Abu Dis health links has supported doctors and patients in Abu Dis in a number of practical ways - providing funds to help the clinics, to buy medicines and equipment. We have so far raised money for Abu Dis for an eye clinic for people who can't get to the eye hospital in Jerusalem, and provided medicine at subsidised prices to one of the clinics in Abu Dis, who are aware that with rising poverty, some people are not able to afford the usual prices for medicine. We discussed the possibilities of extra hours of opening with the existing small clinics (it did not prove possible) before helping a new clinic to open for evenings and holidays, which doctors there have chosen to call the Camden Clinic.
